Looking for services to assist you and your family? Youthline doesn’t just provide services for young people. We’re also here to support families, parents and caregivers, because at Youthline we understand that being a parent or caregiver can sometimes present challenges, and it’s important that you feel supported to deal with these situations.

 

We provide a range of services to assist families – these include:


A Youth Transition Service – this is a free service open to young people aged 15-19 years of age in the central Auckland region (from Avondale to Otahuhu/Glen Innes, and the North Shore). YTS is designed to help young people successfully transition in to employment, education or some other form of activity. To get in contact, you can call 0800 2 YOUTH or free TXT ‘YTS’ to 234. Youthline provides a range of information sheets designed specifically for parents. These can be downloaded online and cover a wide range of topics. There are also sheets aimed at young people that parents may find useful. These can be downloaded here.


Youthline also provide face to face counselling and family therapy. Family counselling offers families the opportunity to work together to improve communication and discuss issues. To find out more, click here.
